Why MEF & PTA?

Why does Rheem need both PTA and MEF?  Both PTA and MEF share a common goal – the betterment of our children’s education.

Rheem PTA invites parents and families to become involved at their school site.  PTA recruits volunteers and provides programs such as, assemblies, After School Enrichment Classes, Lawrence Hall of Science Math Night, Spelling Bee, Rheem Garden, classroom materials and school supplies, to name a few. Last year, parents and other family members gave more than 30,000 hours of service at Rheem.

MEF’s goal is to raise the funds necessary to provide our children with the most competitive education possible.  This year at Rheem, MEF is funding the following:  a Classroom Teacher, Teacher Assistants, Science Aide, Librarian, Reading Tutors, Computer Lab Teacher, K-8 Writing Program, Music Teachers, Art Teacher, PE Teachers, Technology, Curriculum Instruction Specialists (Math and ELA), and Kids Connection (Counseling).

PTA and MEF Working Together

Rheem PTA supports MEF as the primary fundraiser for our district.

With your donations, MEF will continue bridging the gap between what public education offers and what a competitive, 21st-century education should be.

Rheem PTA will continue to advocate for all students, build a stronger community at Rheem through programs and events, and recruit volunteers to make this year another successful year at Rheem Elementary.

Every Rheem student greatly benefits from your support of MEF and the Rheem PTA.
